What is the process, and what is required
for a house, alterations and additions, a garage or a carport project?
Development Approval will include conditions that must be satisfied before a
Construction Certificate can be issued, including other approvals.
If your development cost is over $250,000, you must pay the Long Service Levy, which is 0.25% of the cost of the works.
If your development cost is over $100,000, a Section 7.12 Contribution must be paid. The rate is 0.5% between $100,000 to $200,000 and 1% over $200,000.
If your development cost is over $10,000, you will require an owner builder's permit if you are not using a licensed builder.
If you are using a Licensed Builder and your development cost is over $20,000, your
Builder will need to provide a copy of their Homeowner's Warranty.
